Very likely yes. PMI counts project leadership experience from the last 10 years, and you do not need to have held the title “project manager.”
A four-year degree plus 36 months of project leadership experience, or a secondary degree plus 60 months, plus 35 contact hours of education. Exam fees rise in August 2026.
If you are separating or retiring through Joint Base Charleston: the operations you ran in uniform are project management experience. Aircraft generation, logistics movements, exercise planning, maintenance scheduling, deployments. PMI’s experience window reaches back 10 years, so that work likely still counts, and no “project manager” title is required. ROSEMET is veteran-led; in our experience coaching transitioning service members, the ones who move fastest are those who realize they already meet the experience requirement and just need the 35 training hours and a disciplined study plan.
