Very likely yes. PMI counts project leadership experience from the last 10 years, and you do not need to have held the title “project manager.” Launches, changeovers, and supplier programs qualify when documented properly.
A four-year degree plus 36 months of project leadership experience, or a secondary degree plus 60 months, plus 35 contact hours of education. Exam fees rise in August 2026.
If you run launches, line changeovers, supplier programs, or continuous-improvement work in the Upstate’s plants and engineering centers, you have been leading projects, whether or not your title says so. PMI’s experience window reaches back 10 years, and no “project manager” title is required for your experience to count. The PMP® formalizes what you already do and makes it legible on a resume that has to travel between manufacturers.
